How to make Thick cut sweet potato fries

  1. Slice the sweet potatoes into 1cm matchsticks. Soak them in cold water for 30 minutes to remove surface starch, then pat them completely dry

  2. In a bowl, toss the fries with a small amount of oil and your seasonings

  3. Place the fries in the basket and Air fry at 190c for 20-30 minutes. For the best results, cook in batches rather than stacking them too high. Every 5 minutes, remove the basket and give it a vigorous shake. This ensures every side of the fry hits that high-speed hot air

  4. Cook until the edges are golden-brown and slightly charred. Let them sit in the basket for 1 minute after turning the power off to "set" the crunch
